959 pass marine engineer board exam

MANILA, Philippines—A total of 959 out of 1,729 examinees passed the various grades of the written phase of the Marine Engineer Officers Licensure Examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Thursday.

The results were released after four working days from the last day of examinations given this month by the Board for Marine Engineer Officers in Manila.

At the same time, 447 applicants were approved for upgrading without examination as Chief Marine Engineer Officers.
