SINGAPORE: Pop sensation Justin Bieber will perform in Singapore on April 19 as part of his "My World" concert tour.
"We are thrilled to have secured the world's hottest youth star to perform in Singapore," said Lauretta Alabons, the founder of LAMC Productions, which is organising Bieber's concert here with Midas Promotions.
LAMC Productions recently landed in Singapore Grammy-winning Brit rocker Iron Maiden, in their first-ever concert on the island during the band's world tour.
Bieber's Singapore concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will be the first on the Asian leg of his concert tour, followed by Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Manila.
The singer-songwriter, who turns 17 next month, will also hold meet-and-greet sessions with his fans while he is in Singapore.
Online pre-sales for Visa cardholders will start on February 28, with the rest of the public getting to purchase the 10,000 tickets available on March 14.
Canadian-born Bieber shot to fame after millions of people started watching videos of him singing, which were put up by his mother on video sharing site YouTube in 2007.
The self-taught musician was subsequently signed by American singer Usher and went on to perform at the White House for US President Barack Obama and his wife for the "Christmas in Washington" television special in 2009.
Bieber released his debut studio album "My World 2.0" in January 2010 and starred in the documentary film "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never", which was released earlier this month.
