SINGAPORE: A prostitute who thought she had managed to secure a customer, was robbed, tied up and left in a vehicle for six hours before being released.
Chinese national Chen Jin Bo, 39, was approached at about 4am in November last year to provide massage services at a nearby hotel.
She and her customer agreed on a price of S$100 and Ms Chen then climbed into a six-seater vehicle with him.
But she was later assaulted and tied up while her valuables worth S$332 were also stolen. She was only released at noon that day.
In the Subordinate Courts on Thursday, one of the two men involved in the case, 31-year-old Abusali Pakir Mydin, was jailed four years and given 12 strokes of the cane. The unemployed man, was also charged with stealing a laptop in July last year.
His accomplice, 31-year-old Mohamed Fazel Hamzah, remains at large.
