MANILA—Hoping to duplicate its champion form, Adamson gets its campaign going against the tenacious University of St. La Salle-Bacolod in the Shakey’s V-League today at the FilOil-Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Game time is 4 p.m. with the Lady Falcons—favored to pick their second straight title this conference—returning with a formidable lineup led by former MVP Nene Bautista, Angela Benting and Pau Soriano.
“As long as we play with the same intensity and determination, I think we have a good chance of winning again,” Adamson coach Dulce Pante said in Filipino.
Four teams, though, aim to recover from their opening-day setbacks with St. Benilde and National University clashing at 2 p.m. and Southwestern University and FEU wrapping up the three-game bill at 6 p.m.
