Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao has once again made it to the list of highest paid athletes in the world.
According to Forbes.com, Pacquiao is 24th highest paid athlete last year, tied with Brazilian football star Kaka.
The pound-for-pound king earned $25-million from May 1, 2010 to May 1, 2011, most of which came from what he earned in the fight against Antonio Margarito.
Pacquiao could have placed higher on the list, but Forbes did not count his earnings from his bout against “Sugar” Shane Mosley as it occurred after the cutoff.
Forbes notes that Pacquiao is also improving his endorsement portfolio. His deal with Hewlett-Packard is worth $1-million a year.
HP recently released Pacquiao’s first commercial with the brand, a video promoting the HP Veer 4G.
The Filipino fighting congressman is the only boxer on the list, which is once again topped by golfer Tiger Woods.
Despite his troubles on and off the golf course, Woods still earned $75-million in the past year, thanks to deals with Nike and Electronic Arts.
Basketball star Kobe Bryant placed second with $53-million, followed by LeBron James with $48-million.
Floyd Mayweather Jr., who last year was the second highest paid athlete with $65-million, dropped out from the list after more than a year of inactivity.
