The promotional tour for the November fight between boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Mexican champ Juan Manuel Marquez begins in August.
Top Rank boss Bob Arum said Pacquiao will go to several countries to promote his third fight with Marquez in November.
"Pacquiao has long ceased to only be a product in the Philippines, the United States or Mexico. He is already a global icon, and therefore, we are going to travel the world [promoting] this great fight,” Arum said in Boxingscene.com.
Arum said the tour begins in Manila, Philippines, followed by stops in Tokyo, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, London, New York and Los Angeles. The tour will end in Mexico City.
“We'll start this in August and end it in September, with the [necessary] time required for both fighters to return to their camps,” he said.
Arum said that if everything turns out right, Pacquiao versus Marquez III will be able to pull in 1.6 million pay-per-views in November.
