Pacquiao 'invades' rap music

MANILA, Philippines – Following the success of his single “Sometimes When We Touch,” 8-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao seems to have invaded the world of rap music as well.
Several international artists mention Pacquiao in their songs, citing the boxer’s popularity in the ring, to his life experiences, before he became who he is today.

In rap mogul Jay-Z’s song “Thank You,” he said he has been following most of Pacquiao’s fights in television.
In the new collaboration of Grammy award winning artists Eminem and Bruno Mars, rapper Royce da 5’9 compared himself to Pacquiao, who is always ready to face life's challenges.
On rapper Rick Ross, an online blog said the song "Pacman" was based on the similarities between the lives of Ross and Pacquiao.
Both of them had simple beginnings and because their moms worked hard for their family, they were eventually able to succeed in their respective careers.

Dionisia Pacquiao, the boxer's mom, was also mentioned in Ross' songs.
