Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez’s first baby, Nathaniel James or Nate for short, is finally home. The happy couple brought their bundle of joy home last Friday, Nov. 18, or 10 days after he was born last Nov.8.
The songwriter and songbird are as hands-on as can be with their first-born.
“Baby Nate has no yaya. He has no nursery and just rooms in with us,” reveals Ogie.
What they have instead, Ogie adds, is a midwife who attends to Regine until she fully recovers from her Cesarean operation.
“Regine is breastfeeding the baby,” says Ogie, who has written the song “Aking Anak” for his first son.
This early in Baby Nate’s life, the couple has decided to share their joy over his birth to less-fortunate children. Ogie and Regine turned over three new classrooms to Adiangao, Camarines Sur last Nov.11. The building was funded from the proceeds of Ogie and Regine’s highly successful Celebrity Ukay-Ukay last April.
