Updated 9:45 p.m.) Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Ali Peek, who was shot by an unidentified assailant Monday, is now conscious and in stable condition, Talk N’ Text coach Chot Reyes said Monday.
Ali Peek is a center and occasional power forward who plays for Talk N’ Text.
“The Talk N’ Text family asks d public to respect their privacy at this time. Further details will be released as they become available," Reyes added through his Twitter account @coachot.
Earlier, GMA News Online blogger and sportscaster Mico Halili said Peek was shot after training and was rushed to Medical City. “Prayers for @mtnpeek (Peek’s Twitter account)," Halili added in a tweet using his Twitter account @micohalili.
