Suspect in Charice dad’s slay surrenders

MANILA, Philippines — Angel Capili Jr., the suspect in the murder of Ricky Pempengco, the father of international singing sensation Charice, surrendered to authorities Thursday afternoon.

Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz said that Capili surrendered to Mayor Luis Ferrer of Gen. Trias, Cavite at past 2 p.m. and would be taken to Camp Crame within the day.
Cruz said that he, together with Cavite provincial police director Senior Superintendent John Bulalacao, would present Capili to the police national headquarters.
