MDDA reveals 2011 MMFF entries

Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman and 2011 Metro Manila Filmfest (MMFF) executive committee head Francis Tolentino announced on Friday, June 17, the eight official entries to this year's MMFF.

The eight entries are MJM Productions' "Segunda Mano," starring Kris Aquino and Dingdong Dantes (horror), Imus Productions, Inc/GMA Network's "Panday 2," starring Bong Revilla, Phillip Salvador, Marian Rivera and Iza Calzado (fantasy-action), RP Studio's "Mr. Wong," starring Robin Padilla (action-adventure), OctoArts Films' "My HouseHusband," with Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos (romantic-comedy), ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc., M-Zet TV Productions, APT Productions and OctoArts Films' "Enteng ng Ina Mo" starring Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas (comedy-fantasy), Studio 5's "Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow," starring Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Carla Abellana and Ritz Azul (drama), Regal Entertainment Inc. and SMDC's "Hototay" with John Lapus, Ruffa Gutierrez, Andi Eigenmann, Lovi Poe and Melai Cantiveros (comedy) and Regal Entertainment Inc.'s"Shake, Rattle & Roll 13" starring Eugene Domingo, Paolo Avelino, Lovi Poe, Kathryn Bernardo and Maricar Reyes (horror). The executive committee officials have pegged this year's target earnings to P600 million.
The MMFF will kick off with a parade of stars on Dec. 24. It opens on Dec. 25 and ends Jan. 7, 2012. Only official Metro Filmfest entries will be shown in cinemas nationwide during this period.
