A delivery truck and three cars were involved in a fatal accident in Woodlands on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred in Woodlands at the traffic junction of Woodlands Avenue 5 and 6.
It's reported the delivery truck had toppled and fell onto a car. As a result of the accident, the truck driver, a Chinese male in his 30s, was trapped in his seat.
Upon arrival of the SCDF, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five others were also injured in the accident: a Chinese female, 30s, who sustained chest pains, a Malay female, 30s, who had cuts to her head, a female in her 20s, who also had cuts to her head, a 2-year-old Malay boy who had cuts to his fingers and a Chinese male in his 20s, who suffered head injuries.
One of the drivers involved in the accident looked visibly shaken.
"I was on my way to work and (the accident) happened," said the driver.
"It happened so quickly I don't know what happened," he added. He was also unable to narrate the incident.
Investigations by the police are ongoing.
