MANILA, Philippines - Rep. Juan Miguel "Mikey" Arroyo vehemently denied the issue that he and his wife Angela Montenegro have separated.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Arroyo denied they are going through a rough patch and stressed that they are still very much together.
"We are separated daw? We are together," Arroyo said Thursday, the last day of hearing at the Department of Justice for the P4 million tax evasion case filed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue against them.
Angela, who was also with Arroyo at the hearing, echoed her husband's statement.
"No, not true at all," she said.
But Arroyo and Angela were not wearing their wedding rings at the hearing.
Arroyo, the Ang Galing Pinoy party-list representative, even bared that he and his wife are trying to have a baby.
"As a matter of fact we are trying to have a baby, hopefully a boy," said Arroyo, a former actor.
Even Arroyo's father-in-law, Herman Montenegro, commented on the issue.
"It's not true at all," Montenegro said.
