MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will begin his promotional tour for his fight against Juan Manuel Marquez at the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta.Pacquiao has asked for assistance from Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim regarding the security and traffic arrangements for the tour.
For his part, Lim said that the city will extend all possible assistance for the tour.
Lim also expressed his confidence that Pacquiao will be able to defeat Marquez and defend his welterweight title.
Top Rank boss Bob Arum earlier said that the promotional tour for Pacquiao-Marquez III will be global.
Arum had said that after Manila, the tour will make stops in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and the United States, before finishing up in Mexico City.
