Another former heavyweight champion has expressed his admiration for Filipino boxing legend Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.
In an interview with 8countnews.com, 4-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield said Pacquiao is one of the greatest boxers of all time.
"He is," Holyfield confirmed. "For a smaller guy to come all the way up in weight, and beat bigger guys up to 154 pounds, it says a lot."
Pacquiao is the first boxer in history to win world titles in 8 different weight classes.
Holyfield said he admires the pound-for-pound king for his tireless work ethic.
"He works hard in the gym, and that is what pays dividends in the ring," Holyfield said. "He gets in the ring and he takes care of business."
Warning for Marquez
Holyfield is also looking forward to the third meeting between Pacquiao and Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
The boxing legend is clearly favoring Pacquiao to win the November 12 bout.
"If you fight Manny Pacquiao, you better be ready. If you ain’t ready, you are in trouble," Holyfield warned Marquez.
"When that bell rings, he is coming. He is coming and he is going to throw a lot of punches at you."
Boxing ambassador
Holyfield is also complimenting Pacquiao for his work outside the boxing ring.
According to Holyfield, the Filipino fighting congressman is "a great ambassador for the sport of boxing."
"The way in which he carries himself, and how he treats his fans is what separates him from the rest."
